Psychotherapy

  • I provide individual psychotherapy for adults (ages 18 and older). I work with all genders. I have experience working with folks from 18, up through their 60s and 70s.

  • I offer both in-person therapy, and telehealth sessions. Outdoor therapy, or “walk-and-talk” sessions become available again in the spring, depending on schedule variables.

  • Fees:

    • Individual therapy session, 60 minutes: $200

    • Intensive therapy session, 3-4 hours: $250/hour

  • I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. I am happy to provide patients with a receipt of service (“superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please confirm with your insurance provider that this is an option on your plan.

Mindfulness & Creativity

  • I work with individuals who are interested in diving deeper into Buddhist psychology and exploring applied mindfulness.

  • I also support folks who are looking for help with creative expression: those who miss being creative, feel like they never got to explore their own artistic impulses, or even who make a living doing something someone once thought was “creative,” but has now lost all its joy.

  • My approach to coaching is based in Buddhist psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), my training in Expressive Arts Therapy, and the work of creatives like Julia Cameron, Twyla Tharp, and others.

  • Fees:

    • Individual coaching session, 60 minutes: $200

  • Please feel free to reach out if you have questions!

Yoga

  • I provide either weekly, private yoga sessions, or a two-hour consultation. See this page for more details.

  • I am happy to offer yoga through either Zoom or in-person at my office.

  • Private yoga sessions are $200 per 60-minute session. The yoga consultation is $500. This includes a two-hour one-on-one meeting in which we’ll discuss your needs, history, and what you’re hoping for from yoga, as well as two custom-created yoga sequences, meditation guidelines, and suggestions for further reading and/or study.

  • These yoga offerings are not part of my work as a therapist, and are therefore not reimbursable by insurance companies. If you are interested in something more like yoga therapy, please reach out!

What Starting Therapy Looks Like

During your first session, we’ll work on intake paperwork and make sure you’re set up with your own Simple Practice client portal. I use this first session to get to know you, and to better understand your needs and where you’re coming from.

I do not provide every-other-week or once-monthly sessions, as it tends to be less effective and can actually create a sense that “nothing is happening,” which certainly doesn’t make you feel enthusiastic about therapy!

Areas of Training & Focus

The right therapist for you is always going to be the person you click with. Know that I approach my work with a strong existential approach, and that I am informed by Buddhist psychology and philosophy.

Also — just an FYI — I am no bullshit! I don’t think life is always happy, or even that the universe promised us the happiness we all chase after. I do think that your struggles are workable, and I’d love to connect so you can see whether I might be able to support you.

Some specific domains I work with:

  • Trauma

    • For folks who think they might have PTSD, I often utilize EMDR.

  • Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Burnout, toxic stress, and anxiety

  • Physician and nurse compassion fatigue

  • Substance and behavioral addictions

  • Eating Disorders

    • Please note that I work from a weight-neutral approach.
